Jim’s Group began as a small gardening business while Jim Penman pursued his PhD in history. By 1982, it became a full-time operation, and in 1989, Jim franchised the business. Today, Jim’s Group encompasses over 50 divisions with more than 3,700 franchisees operating across four countries, continuing to grow steadily.

At Jim’s Roofing Adelaide, all work is carried out by licensed operators and franchisees, ensuring a professional and trusted service. Unlike other businesses, there are no company-owned divisions. Franchisor rights are privately held, and all divisions, apart from Mowing, are partnerships with industry experts.

Jim Penman, the founder and full-time CEO, is dedicated to maintaining the values and vision of Jim’s Group. Known for his approachable nature, he is passionate about his work and remains fully engaged in the company’s growth. Despite his incredible business achievements, Jim is famously down-to-earth, often introducing himself simply as "Jim."
